Although I no longer have a collection to boast about (sniff sniff) I did attend the Tropical Flower Festival at Kew last month, which of course featured our beloved family, Orchidaceae. There were THOUSANDS of them! Arranged beautifully! Even though the majority were regular ol' hybrids, any Orchidophile would find the display amazing. Following are some photos I took:







The shop at Kew was also selling plants and as a result hundreds of beginner orchid horticulturalists were born. My advice to them: Welcome to the world of orchid obsession, it brings much joy and satisfaction but watch out for the effect it will have on your pocketbook!
