Jenn's plants in bloom

Another update for Jenn! Hope you get a chance to come and visit your plants (and say goodbye, of course) before heading overseas!!

Here is a picture of the Maxillaria negroides in full bloom:


Here is your ebay Brassidium (shooting star x dark star):


And last but not least, the Phrag. longifolium!!



The flower is a bit different from what I expected. Here is a picture of the listing of the Phrag longifolium. I think the flower looks a lot more like this hybrid ??

Great job looking after the orchids! I am also very purplexed at the Phrag longifolium bloom, expecting something different. Maybe I should contact the greenhouse???

Beautiful photos! I agree, though. That is no Phrag. longifolium!

It looks like a hybrid that has heavy besseae in its parentage. Maybe a besseae x pearcei?

I'd contact the grower, and see if they can send you a longifolium (since that's what you thought you were buying) and maybe they could also tell you which other Phrags they have, to get a better idea about this lovely.
